The United Kingdom Gambling Commission (UKGC) entered the Online gambling market in 2014. Prior to that, the commission was in charge of regulating physical gambling in the UK. When the British government decided to tax Online gambling operators who wanted to accept players from the UK, the commission was vested with the authority to choose the operators allowed to enter the British market.
Its technical standards for Online gaming operators and software developers are among the highest of all jurisdictions, which makes the UKGC a strong indicator for players to enjoy truly fair gaming.
UKGC does not work with player complaints. They refer complaints to the associated Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) services. This is why ADR when used by a casino is important. Our current experience notes that some ADR offers better support than others. Still, we have not had the opportunity to test all ADR services.
